Are you our next North American Shared Services (NASS) Accountant - Inventory?

This role is eligible for a hybrid remote - office schedule

As a NA Shared Services Inventory Accountant, you will ensure the proper inventory volumes to book journal entries are accurate. Additionally, you will perform inventory reconciliations and financial reporting for commodity product inventories, raw materials, work in progress (WIP) and Maintenance Repairs operations MRO for North America. This is a great opportunity to join a Shared Services team and become a strategic partner for the business where you can bring your experience and innovative ideas.

What will you do?

• Learn about Mosaic and our production and distribution services business model in order to understand how we produce and distribute products that help the world grow the food it needs
  
• Compile and analyze physical inventory surveys, propose and prepare monthly inventory journal entry adjustments as required in accordance with GAAP
  
• Participate and support the monthly inventory Accounting close process and prepare subsequent required reconciliations in Blackline
  
• Identify outstanding issues and ensure that unreconciled balances are promptly researched and resolved monthly
  
• Monthly preparation and reporting of various balance sheet accounts for North American legal entities and ensuring that volumes and prices are accounted for correctly in the inventory systems per GAAP
  
• Perform plant site local visits to observe physical inventory and meet with Operations Management as required for audit purposes; currently performed remotely
  
• Support of other North American Shared Services (NASS) Accounting areas as required; including but not limited to revenue recognition, fixed assets, warehousing and distribution
  

What do you need for this role?

• A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business with emphasis in accounting and/or finance is required
  
• 3+ years' experience in general accounting duties including journal entry preparation, account reconciliations, and financial analysis
  
• Demonstrated understanding of GAAP and internal controls and the ability to apply these principles in practice
  
• Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) with advanced Excel skills is required
  
• Willingness to collaboratively challenge the business and create innovative solutions.
