I. Summary
The National Business Development position drives revenue for the company by acquiring commercial policyholder clients via master service agreements as well as developing relationships with commercial property loss decision influencers such as adjusters, brokers, risk managers, and facility engineers.


II. Major Responsibilities

Position requirements and responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:

  • Schedule in person presentations with key decision makers
  • Generate new leads
  • Effectively close leads and generate revenue
  • Master company capabilities
  • Maintain strong customer relationships
  • Customer Service/ File Management
  • Ensure loyalty through excellent customer service
  • Work with client as a business continuity partner for emergency service needs
  • Communicate customers' needs to Project Coordinator, Project Manager and Field personnel to ensure projects run efficiently and meet client objectives
  • Utilize all marketing tools to promote and increase revenue
  • Monitor, train and assist in maintaining vendor programs
  • Always be the most professional person in the room
  • Be a person of Integrity

III. Background Requirements

Education:
  • Marketing/Business degree or related field or equivalent work experience

Experience:
  • Experience in the insurance industry a plus
  • Experience in customer service
  • Proven sales and management experience

Knowledge and Skills:
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Excellent communication skills: written and verbal

Basic and Essential Functions of the Job:
  • Ability to travel, both domestically and internationally as business needs require
  • Ability to communicate effectively face to face, telephone and via video telecommunications.
  • Must be able to drive a vehicle and provide a good driving record
