Are you our next Benefits Analyst?

The Benefits Analyst will be responsible for health, wellness, and retirement plan compliance, data and documentation while working closely with the Total Rewards Center of Excellence (COE) and HR Services specialists and administrators and will capture requirements and specifications related to the ongoing management and administration of benefits, wellness, and retirement programs.

What will you do?

  • Work with Total Rewards COE and HR Services specialists to capture requirements and specifications related to the ongoing management and administration of benefits, wellness, and retirement programs. Contribute as a key member of Total Rewards project and program execution teams. Test system configuration and user experience changes, run reports, analyze data and measure utilization to understand and support process and performance improvement efforts.
  • Perform ongoing administration, data audits, review, and analysis of benefit plans and programs to ensure regulatory compliance. Ensure completion of compliance related activities, including SPDs, SMMs, 5500s, 1095 c etc. Work with selected vendors and external third-party providers to distribute and post required notices. Work closely with HRIS to ensure data integrity and manage data clean-up initiatives. Work with HRIS to ensure processing stabilization and limit disruption to user experience.
  • Participate in the documentation and refinement of end-to-end processes, operating procedures, related training and content materials, and other assets (e.g., plan documentation, plan requirements, instructions, and communication). Recommend and participate in the implementation of process improvements to increase effectiveness and efficiency. Capture and monitor process flows and related assets as part of content management, information sharing and knowledge retention efforts.
  • Act as liaison to contracted vendors and third-party administrators to ensure consistent and accurate data sharing and benefits / retirement administration. Provide back-up support to other Benefits team members and complete other job duties and projects as assigned.
  • Provide prompt, friendly and reliable support and error resolution to escalated issues and/or complex problem/inquiries. Create, update and maintain user procedures, guidelines, and documentation. Provide training on benefits and retirement administration and processing as needed. Organize and facilitate new hire benefit orientations, benefit fairs and other enrollment related activities. Maintain and administer the New Hire Benefits Orientation documentation, presentation and materials.
  • Participate in vendor meetings to provide feedback on the vendor's performance. Track benefit plan utilization and trends and develop and deliver reports that provide plan insight for Total Rewards team. Ensure monthly carrier billing and invoices are accurately processed. Ensure funding requirements are completed on a timely basis. Support direct billing efforts as needed. Other job duties and projects as assigned.

What do you need for this role?
  • High School Diploma required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources or related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of progressive work experience in the field of HR, benefits, data analysis, and/or HRIS
  • For those candidates without a bachelor's degree, 6+years of experience is required
  • 2+ years of experience working with benefits data analysis
  • Ongoing knowledge and application of ERISA, DOL, and IRS regulations and the ability to apply these regulations to programs to ensure compliance
  • Ability to interpret and apply plan and policy documents
  • Ability to facilitate internal training classes
  • Strong process management and process improvement skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft PowerPoint, Access and Outlook with strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel spreadsheets and Word documents required
  • Workday and Microsoft Access experience preferred
  • Knowledge of case tracking and other common tools used in a service center preferred
  • Visio flow charting a plus
  • Strong verbal, written and listening communication skills

  • Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships and collaborate with employees at all levels within the organization
  • Proven ability to handle confidential material in a professional manner
