Primary Job Purpose

The Enterprise Monitoring & Logging team is seeking a experienced administrator to develop, implement and utilize analytical solutions to support a (Cloud) architecture for logging and monitoring. Responsibilities support the fulfilment of regulatory and customer requirements. Support the integration of cloud platforms into the logging and analytics platform. Adhere to and maintain all application security, SDLC protocols. In addition to using business, development, critical and interpersonal skill in a daily work environment to drive the development of IT solutions that allows the organization to continue to innovate and progress in a positive forward direction of growth.

Duties:

  • Adheres to policies, procedures, and standards in place within DTS as well as all corporate policies, procedures and standards created by Cambia.
  • Provision computing systems (On-Prem physical, virtual or cloud) and/or support software in assistance of business processes and objectives.
  • Transform machine data into operational intelligence via the creation of dashboards
  • Develop Dashboards, searches and reporting to support various internal clients in Security, IT Operations and Application Development
  • Develop Advanced Dashboards, using Machine Learning / Business Intelligence, to monitor for access / security violations
  • Provide technical training to team, Business partners or customers through in-person or virtual sessions.
  • Prepare administration, program, system, operational and User documentation.
  • Preparation of individual work plans, reports activities, tasks, milestones, deliverables, schedules, and status reports, as appropriate.
  • Works as an active team member for joint success of a project, taking responsibility, and providing timely updates for assigned action items and deliverables.
  • Focuses on the operational activities that ensure maximum availability and reliability of the supported platform/technology.
  • Uses common system maintenance tools, without assistance.
  • Collaborate within a matrixed organization to ensure customers are levering the data analytics platform solution features to meet business needs
  • Assist with on-boarding relevant data sources as needed including, but not limited to inputs, index-time configurations, search-time field extractions, event types, parsing rules, and tags
  • Work with internal clients to develop requirements, relationships as well as value metrics
  • Extract complex fields from different types of Log files using Regular Expressions
  • Increase application uptime and performance by searching and alerting on all business pertinent process, system, and service data.
  • Experience with both the Linux and Windows operating systems; comfortable on the command line interface.
  • Experience with AWS technologies like S3, Kinesis, Lambda, Athena, SQS
  • Working knowledge or recent experience with scripting languages (bash), application development (java, python,. NET), databases and analytical tools.
  • Improve IT operations with real time monitoring and intuitive dashboards
  • Integrate logging solution into organizational incident management system to ensure maximum system performance and availability notifications receive appropriate levels of support in an appropriate timeframe.
  • Leverage artificial intelligence and machine learning solutions to detect patterns, dynamically adapt thresholds, highlight anomalies, and pinpoint areas of impact
  • Integrations with Cloud platforms
  • May be required to be on-call 7 days a week, 24 hours a day on a departmental rotational basis.
  • May be required to maintain professional working relationships with vendors.

  • Deep IT Infrastructure expertise (cloud, compute, middleware, database, networking). Broad exposure to enterprise infrastructure design and administration.
  • Adaptability with understand new technology, go deep into capabilities, and make a recommendation on adoption and best use cases.
  • Conduct proof of concepts; develop Enterprise standards and best practices; put together engineering design solutions that can be deployed using automation.
  • Understanding of open-source tools that can and should be leveraged to solve problems
  • Knowledge of IT operations in an always-up, always-available service
  • 5+ years direct experience architecting, configuring, deploying, and/or customizing Data Analytic solutions
  • 3+ years knowledge of IT security engineering and/or architecture experience with Security Incident and Event Management (SIEM) technologies
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with modern technology (Cloud, Agile, AIOps and DevOps tools)
  • Expertise in application monitoring with a focus and event log management processes as well as the maintenance and integrity checking of log pipelines
  • Experience with both the Linux and Windows operating systems; comfortable with command line interfaces.
  • Experience with AWS technologies like S3, Kinesis, Lambda, Athena, SQS
  • Working knowledge or recent experience with scripting languages (bash), application development (java, python, .NET, Node.js), databases and analytical tools.
  • Familiar with data on-boarding procedures
