EMD Electronics is seeking a Gas Maintenance Technician for its MEGASYS® team in Austin, TX. In this role, you will be performing daily intrusive maintenance on systems that maintain supply of chemicals and gases to a semiconductor manufacturing environment that makes the chips used in electronic devices such as Smart Phones, LED's, and Flat Screen TV's. This is a challenging, hands-on, rewarding job opportunity for people who want to join a growing business. You will work side-by-side with your teammates within the department to achieve key performance metrics focused on safety, quality and productivity within the area. You will impact team performance through the reliability and accuracy of your own work, and by providing high level technical support during troubleshooting and maintenance activities. Technicians will be expected to work 10-hour shifts, weekends and holidays. MEGASYS® is the branded name for EMD Electronics services offering where EMD Electronics technicians and engineers provide on-site gas and chemical/slurry management on an ongoing contractual basis. MEGASYS® personnel are assigned on a full-time basis ranging from 7 day / 24-hour coverage to periodic service calls. The scope of supply includes services maintaining the operation, and repair of gas, chemical and planar distribution equipment; bulk liquid gases management, container handling (cylinder, drum, tote, isotainer, etc.), inventory management, gas and chemical blending equipment; chemical reprocessing, life safety systems, and first responder services. They will ensure compliance in operation and procedures, emergency preparedness, and drive flawless execution.

Physical Attributes:

Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED 3+ years' experience working in a fast-paced manufacturingenvironment

Preferred Qualifications:

Two-year degree in a technical disciplinePrevious safe work practices and experience in lockout, tag out projectsStrong communication skills (both verbal and written) Experience with Microsoft products (i.e., Visio, Word, Excel)Familiarity with technical diagrams; ability to read, redline, and understand P&ID'sTechnical aptitude to identify parts needed for a repairAbility to read gauges, understand units of measure and use precision measuring equipmentUnderstanding materials of construction and chemical compatibilityAwareness to identify unsafe work conditions and report them to managementExcellent teamwork and interpersonal skillsRSREMD
