Position Summary:

This is a full-time employment position for a MECM / Intune Administrator dedicated primarily to establishing and supporting industry standards and solutions for Avnet's global client management services. You will be part of a global team that leads all aspects of the MECM and Intune administration requiring excellent collaboration skills. This position focuses on day-to-day activities to maintain and support the MECM and Intune platforms' overall performance and participation in global projects. The role requires US Citizenship/Permanent Resident and will allow work remotely within the U.S.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform all work in compliance with company policy and within the guidelines.
  • To ensure the day-to-day administration of MECM / Intune infrastructure and to maintain it in operational conditions including changes to the core components and settings, software delivery, client health, reporting, boundaries, and bandwidth settings
  • Mastery knowledge of industry best practices and disciplines. Considered a subject matter expert within the organization and contributes to the development of new concepts, techniques and standards.
  • Modernization of on-prem services and workloads to Azure/Intune by identifying, developing, documenting, and communicating cloud security governance, controls, policies, standards, and best practices
  • Be an active participant in weekly meetings with global Service Managers / Project managers on run operations and project activities
  • Defining the evolving strategy and creating new Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for MECM / Intune services following Avnet's requirements
  • Develop and document an Operations Manual for MECM and Intune, adhering to defined policies
  • Incident and Problem Management: will provide expertise for complex incidents and problems, escalation point for L1 and L2, interface with Microsoft Support and various partners
  • Participate in projects to evolve or implement the new features of the MECM / Intune platform
  • Respond to and resolve escalated system incidents, problems or outages and accurately report and document solutions
  • Problem determination and resolution within SLAs
  • Familiar with RBAC roles management and Intune Scope Tags
  • Responsible for providing senior-level support for MECM / Intune
  • Develop scripts for automating processes within the environment
  • Must be able to produce detailed, accurate technical documentation
  • Create packages, collections, and advertisements for distributions
  • Create reports and dashboards for use in planning corporate hardware, software and security requirements
  • Troubleshoot and correct MECM client and distribution point errors including failed MECM deployments and MECM / Intune health issues
  • Develops solutions to highly complex and uniquely challenging situations. Assignments require extensive evaluation of alternatives and variables. Expected to make improvements to policies and procedures.
  • Works independently toward long-range goals and objectives. Assignments are often self-initiated using independent judgment and discretion. May act as informal team lead and/or coach less experienced team members.
  • Serves as consultant to management and/or internal/external spokesperson for the organization on major initiatives related to policies, plans and long-range objectives.
  • Flexible approach - the position may occasionally be required to provide out of normal office hours support

Work Experience:
  • Typically 5+ years with bachelor's or equivalent.
  • Five years of experience administrating MECM
  • Two years of experience administrating Intune

Skills and Qualifications:

IS (Information Systems) skills:
  • Experience managing on-prem Active Directory and Azure Active Directory
  • Advanced knowledge of PowerShell cmdlet and scripting (development and optimization) with the ability to automate tasks
  • Involvement in configuring and managing conditional access policies
  • Experience managing Group policy for an enterprise environment
  • Configuring, deploying, and troubleshooting InTune policies
  • Knowledge of technical change management best practices
  • Strong experience with MECM administration

Education and Certification(s):
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience from which comparable knowledge and job skills can be obtained.
  • Preferred:
    • Microsoft 365 Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, Microsoft 365 Certified Enterprise Administrator expert certification or MCSE certification
    • Network+, Security+; ITIL® V3 or ITIL® V4 certifications; other relevant certifications
