Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 6:00 am to 4:30 pm (some overtime on Fridays)

Hourly Rate: Min $12.48, Mid $15.60, Max $18.72



SUMMARY:

The Materials Clerk position will be responsible for master scheduling various work centers to minimize component shortages and maximize efficiency. Requires the ability to solve short-term issues (e.g., adjusting work order quantities) and long-term issues (e.g., what causes specific problems?). Requires the use of JD Edwards to look up information and pull reports. Requires interaction with all production supervisors, quality team, team leaders, receiving team, and distribution team. This position will be the main point of contact to expedite any expediting needs for production. This position will report directly to the Planning Supervisor.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


* Coordinate production workflow for one or multiple products
* Monitor Jobs to ensure they will finish on time for production needs
* Expedite materials needed for production to cover demand needed
* Address shortage concerns when they arise
* Champion American Woodmark’s mission, vision, and values; comply with the policies and procedures, ethical standards and code of conduct set forth by the company
* Consistently deliver the best in customer service
* Schedule production planning and shop floor controls
* Master schedule various work centers to minimize shortager
* Perform all other duties assigned by the supervisor or manager
* Respond and expedite Hot Count request if components are not found by inventory
* Supports Capacity Planning Processes for weekly and monthly production reports and forecasts



SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:


* To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to excel at the essential functions assigned
* Candidate must have the ability to analyze information; work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment and be a team player.
* Previous JDE and MRP experience is a plus
* Must be able to work with all departments within American Woodmark in order to be effective
* Excellent time management skills to manage high volume in a fast-paced environment
* Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
* Must be proficient in Excel
* High school diploma, Further education or certification is a plus
* Offers may be contingent upon successful completion of Background Check and Drug Screening
