Coastal Welding Supply-AWG Company,has an immediate opening for aMaterial Handler/Cylinder Maintenanceat our gas cylinder production/distribution facility in Beaumont, TX!

In this position they perform product composition and quality sampling and testing. Routine inspection, calibration, and repair of meter and associated equipment (meter tube/plates, ultrasonic meter

Duties & Responsibilities

• Inspect gas cylinders to detect surface defects and tests thickness of cylinder walls.
• Safely move gas cylinders off pallets onto testing equipment.
• Calibrate and adjust ultrasonic testing equipment to required standards and settings.
• Review and interpret test results and documentation as it relates to local, state, and federal compliance and DOT regulations.
• Record test results, cylinder serial number, and test date in a timely and accurate manner.
• Stamp test date and label gas cylinders once ultrasonic testing is complete.
• Ensure that defective cylinders or those requiring maintenance or repair are removed from service until corrected.
• Inspect, maintain, and perform maintenance on ultrasonic testing equipment, as needed.
• Operate computer equipment and value machine (if applicable) to conduct testing.
• Operate a forklift, pallet jack and other warehouse equipment.

Qualifications & Education Requirements

• High School graduate or GED equivalent
• Able to read and write English
• Mechanically inclined
• Technical skills
• Computer skills
