Vertiv is hiring a Master Scheduler in Anderson, SC to supporting materials planning for finished goods to meet customer requirements. Maintaining high level customer service, level loading demand, addressing shortages and supporting product evolution are daily functions. Will coordinate and synchronize with the Sales, Inventory, Operations, and Planning (SIOP) teams. Processes cancellations, reserves production, and makes schedule adjustments. This position has responsibility for all aspects of scheduling, production reservations, and integrity of schedules, scheduling mix, and adjustments to schedules due to expedited requirements. Responsible for setting and changing production schedules to maximize output of established priorities. Follow the flow of materials from order thru receipt, production, inspection and shipping. Act as liaison between production, engineering, purchasing and sales departments. Issue reports periodically, concerning status of current production and material deficiencies ensuring the shipment of products as scheduled.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Establish an optimum production schedule to meet customer demands.
  • Ensure that schedules are loaded appropriately considering product mix as required.
  • Coordination of Sales and manufacturing schedules for multiple manufacturing locations as required.
  • Coordinate the expediting and completion of customer orders to ensure installation dates are met.
  • A resource for team managers and sales coordinators relative to issues in order processing.
  • Work closely with production on all schedule adjustments.
  • Coordinate key planning processes with Business Unit operations resources, plant managers, plant operations and materials managers, procurement, finance, sales, and marketing to:
  • Coordinate with sales and marketing to ensure all orders received are includes in the backlog plan.
  • Coordinate with plant organizations to translate the Orders into an accurate production plan .
  • Coordinate the development of long term capacity plans.
  • Preparation of reports related to:
  • On-time performance
  • Capacity utilization
  • Performance and adherence to production plan
  • Performance and adherence to inventory plan
  • Other metrics as required
  • Monitor and provide sales revenue and new order bookings reports for all divisional product families to meet corporate and divisional goals.
  • Set up, execution and maintenance of ordering parameters and MRP data.
  • Monitor capacities and product line delivery performance and daily throughputs.
  • Represent the group in relevant meetings and act as a liaison
  • Participate in daily production and planning meetings.
  • Coordinate Engineering changes and product phase in and phase out.
  • Daily coordination of information between production, purchasing, sales, shipping and engineering.
  • Develop in-depth knowledge on products and critical operations
  • Work closely with senior management to arrange production capacity for key markets and regions of the world.
  • Maintain integrity of scheduling rules between Sales and Manufacturing.
  • Create and monitor new methods of forecasting to improve lead-times for product mix variations.
  • Develop detailed analysis of customer orders to improve lead-time performance, on-time shipment goals, inventory turns and manufacturing efficiency.
  • Perform ad hoc analyses and other duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's in business administration, or related field. (or equivalent of education and experience)
  • 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, materials management, production planning or other material planning function.
  • Experience in an industrial, high mix job shop environment
  • Very proficient in spreadsheets, MS Office.
  • An excellent understanding of our manufacturing operations, capacity management and appropriate Vertiv products.
  • Outstanding communication skills and ability to work at different levels of the organization and with outside customers as required
  • Experience with ERP systems
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Manufacturing, or a related discipline
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams is required
  • Knowledge of SIOP and production scheduling dynamics is required
  • APICS or CPM certification preferred
  • Bilingual preferred
  • MBA or related advanced degree strongly preferred
