SUMMARY

Working with general supervision, the Marketing Manager, Event Programming will design community-based customer experiences in coordination with stores, brand marketing, and loyalty teams. Associates in the role will possess excellent marketing skills and communications experience. The role provides guidance and direction. The role is generally characterized by an enterprise scope, analytical complexity, and independent decision making.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES*

* Ideate, develop, research, strategize, and implement the experiential marketing events for the organization focused on the end goals of brand awareness, lead generation, and marketing qualified leads

* Work with department leadership to plan, produce, and execute experiential marketing events enterprise-wide

* Create and drive the experiential marketing strategy for the organization with cross-functional counterparts

* Coordinate frequent stakeholder interactions, reporting, projects with cross-functional teams

* Develop and cultivate relationships with internal cross-functional partners

* Create, adjust, and refine best practices

* Comply with local laws/restrictions for programming

* Model the behaviors expected of all GME associates including a drive for results with a clear bias for action; high levels of maturity and professionalism; giving, receiving, and responding to feedback effectively; a high service orientation; and clear commitments to diversity, inclusion, a respectful workplace, and integrity

* Manage in a manner acceptable to others and to the organization partnerships

* Drive outstanding business results through traditional management functions including sourcing and selecting talent, coaching and development, workforce and project scheduling, performance assessment, and general talent planning

BASIC AND PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE)

* 6 years or more of related experience required

* Accredited Bachelor's degree with a related field of study required; at least two years of additional related work experience may be considered in substitution

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, JOB SKILLS, ABILITIES

* Proficient ability to communicate effectively with others using written and spoken English including the ability to provide clear, constructive feedback to team members

* Proficient relationship building skills, including the capacity to predict and manage behavior, build and leverage cross-functional partnerships within and outside of the organization, and leverage influential leadership

* Proficient ability to work under demanding time constraints and production goals

* Proficient project planning skills, including the ability to organize, prioritize and control job responsibilities in order to meet deadlines in an environment with overlapping and potentially conflicting priorities

* Proficient ability to solve functional problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists

* Working knowledge of employee development: talent assessment, competency-based development, motivation and reward

* Ability to model consistently GME's commitment to a respectful, diverse, inclusive, and collaborative work environment

* Consistently demonstrates a commitment to GME policies and procedures, including but not limited to, attendance, confidentiality, conflict of interest, and ethical responsibilities
