About OnStar Insurance:

OnStar Insurance Services was launched in 2020 and will be in all US states by end of 2021. OnStar Insurance intends to leverage its unique understanding of the vehicles GM produces to offer a secure, fair, personalized and easy-to-use digital insurance experience for drivers. GM has the largest connected vehicle fleet worldwide. In the US alone, there are currently 9M+ connected GM vehicles on the road and that number is projected to triple in the next 10 years. More than that, the OnStar system currently has access to over 900 data points from the vehicle. This surge in information about vehicles and how they are driven will revolutionize auto insurance. About the Role:

General Motors is seeking a Marketing Coordinator to support the OnStar Insurance business. In this role, you will be responsible contributing to current marketing programs, assisting with the development of new initiatives, and executing go-to-market strategies for the expansion of OnStar Insurance into new markets. These efforts include working with our advertising agencies and internal partners to ensure the successful implementation of our marketing strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with agencies to ensure the successful completion of assignments. This includes providing agencies with background information and parameters needed to develop creative and establish timelines for deliverables.
  • Liaison between agency and internal stakeholders providing feedback throughout the creative workflow process to ensure quality standards and timelines are met.
  • Coordinate business, partner, and legal reviews for all marketing assets. Document required changes and approvals and provide feedback to agencies.
  • Project manage comprehensive cross channel marketing campaigns from development and tracking set up, to execution and KPI reporting.
  • Provide creative input for marketing assets and work with outside agencies and internal partners to implement marketing campaigns.
  • Create, proofread, and edit copy for various marketing channels to maintain brand and messaging consistency.
  • Monitor and evaluate campaign performance on an ongoing basis by analyzing key metrics.
  • Communicate marketing initiatives to partners in order to prepare sales teams with applicable offers and messaging for potential customers.
  • Clearly communicate project plans, status updates and outcomes to key stakeholders through updates, meetings, and discussions.
  • Support a test and learn environment; always striving to make customer-centered, data-backed decisions.
  • Prepare necessary requests and documentation required to work with marketing vendors.

Additional Job Description

Requirements:

The successful candidate will have prior experience with a wide range of marketing functions, including communications, advertising, branding, digital marketing, and social media. The marketing coordinator must be an organized multitasker able to handle many diverse projects at once and meet tight deadlines.
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, communications, or a related field.
  • At least [3] years of relevant marketing experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as outstanding copywriting and proofreading skills.
  • Collaborate effectively with multiple groups, including General Motors and OnStar marketing teams, and legal colleagues.
  • A firm grasp of various marketing platforms, channels, and best practices, including traditional and digital marketing.
  • Must have strong organizational and project management skills, as well as attention to detail.
  • Must be a self-starter and able to independently move projects forward, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to think creatively as well as manage multiple priorities.
  • Team player with a positive attitude in a results-driven environment.
  • Strong commitment to timelines, accuracy, and communication.
