Marketing Automation Manager

As a leading personal lines insurer in the Northeast, we are looking for key talent to drive and enhance our digital marketing strategies and personalized customer lifecycle journeys through Salesforce Marketing Cloud. As the Salesforce Marketing Automation Manager, your focus will be to evolve, optimize and enhance our Salesforce platform and data integrations to build and deploy customized experiences that support new business and retention strategies.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Own our Salesforce Marketing Cloud platform and serve as Administrator, subject matter expert for our data integrations and CRM solution
  • Implement our customer communications roadmap and provide expertise in building data driven solutions across email, SMS and digital platforms
  • Lead us from a batch and blast email marketing model into fully automated, lifecycle journeys and campaigns (personalization and dynamic content)
  • Improve our current platform instance and data model to drive change and deploy best in class marketing strategies
  • Maintain our data ecosystem and partner with our Applications Development Teams to ensure integrations among our internal systems, WordPress website and platforms are secure, stable and efficient

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
  • Build journeys and automations using Salesforce Marketing Cloud: this includes business requirements gathering, design, implementation, testing, launch and tracking
  • Create data extensions to be used for journeys, segmentation and dynamic content
  • Write SQL queries and automations to populate data extensions
  • Create dynamic content using AMPscript for a personalized user experience
  • Create emails from copy and designs using HTML/CSS for responsiveness and cross-browser compatibility
  • Construct dashboards and reports to update stakeholders on campaign results
  • Partner with stakeholders to meet business requirements for marketing campaigns
  • Partner with the Applications Development team on implementation plans, including defining data flows to and from the marketing automation system and testing
  • Collaborate with other teams to identify and execute testing strategies within SFMC
  • Ensure clean and seamless data integrations within Salesforce
  • Evaluate our SMS applications and integrate within Salesforce Mobile Studio to allow us to communicate via customer's preferred device (email/SMS)

Qualifications:
  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud experience required
  • BA/BS with 5-7 years of experience in email marketing and digital marketing
  • Proficient with SQL, AMPscript, HTML, CSS, (SSJS a plus)
  • Prior involvement in QA process and understanding of end-to-end testing practices
  • Experience leveraging SFMC APIs for both data integration and transactional communications
  • Proficient use of SFMC Journey Builder and Automation Studio
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and project management skills
  • Strong knowledge of CAN-SPAM compliancy
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
