Job Description Summary:
The Marketing Integration Project Management position is a new role created to support the Senior Program Manager of Marketing Integration in helping to facilitate Marketing integration activities for acquired companies, conducting diligence activities for M&A opportunities, creating functional marketing integration plans, formalizing our approach into clear and accessible integration playbooks, and assisting acquired companies (past and future) through their integration journey. Success will be defined by consistent and high-quality execution of marketing integration activities, reliably clear and usable documentation of integration processes and building productive and trusting working relationships with members of the acquired company, existing PayPal marketers, and our cross-functional partners.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Due Diligence - Contribute support to Marketing due diligence efforts for acquisition targets to help understand and identify strategic marketing objectives, asses the target company, and provide early inputs into Marketing integration planning.
  • Integration Planning - Help partner with Marketing stakeholders to develop Marketing integration plans during pre-close period, aligning closely with other functional leads (e.g., GTM, Sales, Product, Customer Support, Product Marketing) and accounting for the unique business objectives, challenges, and complexities of each acquired business.
  • Integration Roadmaps - Contribute to the development and maintenance of detailed Marketing integration roadmaps beginning with integration planning through to BAU transition, with a focus on building sustainable and repeatable plans for future Marketing integrations.
  • Milestone Tracking & Reporting - Collaborate with Marketing and other key stakeholders to ensure integration milestones are met, while proactively identifying risks and developing associated mitigation plans; regularly report out to Marketing, M&A and other key stakeholders on status.
  • Integration Workstreams - Help facilitate and drive Marketing Integration Workstreams in close partnership with business sponsors and acquired companies to deliver against aligned integration plans and roadmaps.
  • Integration Cadences - Help manage successful integration cadences and working sessions, including the creation of clear, objective-oriented agendas, capturing useful meeting notes, and action item tracking & follow-up. Drive cadences as-needed.
  • Team Alignment - Build productive and positive relationships with members of core Marketing team, cross-functional partners, and the acquired company team members to enable successful ways of working during and after integration.
  • Cultural Building and Knowledge Exchange - Proactively identify and drive opportunities to build cultural connections and share knowledge between acquired and existing Marketing teams.
  • Playbook Creation - Assist in creating and maintaining functional Marketing integration playbooks and integration templates through clear and accurate capture of existing processes, identifying new processes to be established, and connecting the dots across different teams and functions.
  • Marketing Launch Project Management Support - On an as-needed basis, assist in the program management of Marketing launch workstreams associated with initial marketing efforts for new acquisitions (e.g., launch initial cross-sell efforts, launch product or service in a new market).

Your day-to-day will include:
  • Working closely with business sponsors and acquired companies in the execution of integration activities, participating in due diligence sessions, helping to plan integration-related meetings and working sessions, supporting the creation of marketing integration plans, driving execution of key integration milestones and contributing to progress reports on integration roadmaps, identifyingand resolvingissues,helping prepare presentations to stakeholders and executive sponsors, checking in with cross-functional leaders and team members, tightly managing calendars to ensure stakeholder engagement and alignment, supporting the creation of integration playbooks, and collaborating withanextended, cross-functional integrationteam to continually improve our operating framework anddrive excellence inexecution.

Requisite Experience:
  • Experienced Project Manager with 5+ years' experience managing Marketing or related projects in diverse settings
  • 2+ Years' Marketing Experience in a global, matrixed company with multiple products and/or service lines
  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communication, Business, Organizational Behavior or equivalent
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Tools, specifically Excel and PPT
  • Ability to travel up to 25%, during peak integration activities

  • M&A Integration Experience
  • Corporate Development Experience
  • Experience with planning & collaboration tools like Smartsheet and MS Teams/SharePoint
