Job Description Summary
This role will lead individual, multi-disciplined Life Science and/or Medical Technologies Commercial Real Estate project solutions for clients. This role acts as client's representative for all aspects of the assigned engagements and is directly responsible for delivery to the client. They also must work as a liaison between employee's company departments, 3rd party partners, and client to ensure the incorporation and communication of all aspects affecting the successful delivery of services. This position works alongside with the Project & Development Services leadership team to champion cross-business working in the best interests of clients, colleagues, Cushman & Wakefield, external stakeholders and the wider community with professionalism and integrity to deliver win-win solutions.
Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Partners with the PDS Market and Account Leaders, Operations, Marketing, and other service line leaders to champion the creation of business development and operational plans for the Life Sciences Practice Group
  • Supports the PDS Regional Leader on all operational models, risk mitigation, and strategic initiatives to grow, enhance and stabilize the Life Science Practice Group for PDS
  • Responsible for marketing the successes and abilities of the PDS Life Science Practice Group to the external client stakeholders and internal service lines.
  • Assists in the creation and implementation of standards for delivery, risk management and implementing quality assurance process to ensure risk is clearly identified and well managed.
  • Communicates project strategies with high impact, clear targets, measurable outcomes, and likelihood of successful implementation.
  • Deepens client/stakeholder insight by gathering information from clients and project teams; assisting in the delivery of initiatives to deliver outstanding client service and improve client/stakeholder advocacy and use it to shape Cushman & Wakefield's PDS Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Leads business development activity for Life Science Practice Group, ensuring alignment with service line strategies through identification and cultivation of internal and external client relationships
  • Manages geographical area assigned with complex initiatives that may span across multiple business lines and markets.

Metrics
  • Contributes through the overall implementation of strategic direction of the Life Sciences Practice Group.
  • Demonstrates subject matter expertise in the development and completion Life Sciences and/or Medical Technologies project types.
  • Acts as the trusted business advisor and strategic partner by the clients both internally and externally.
  • Lead the sourcing, pitching and securing of new business and projects for the Life Sciences Practice Group

Background and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in a Science or Mechanical and/or Electrical engineering disciplines. Advanced degrees are desirable.
  • 10 to 20+ years of Design and Construction industry experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, diagnostics, research and/or medical device industries.
  • 10+ years of Commercial Real Estate Project Management experience with related experience in product development, launch, business process optimization, regulatory submission and/or regulatory compliance, and/or quality assurance.
  • General Contractors License, PMP and LEED Certificates preferred.
  • Knowledge and application of a disciplined Project Management process (Six Sigma desirable).
  • Demonstrated experience managing projects varying in size including strategic planning, demolition, new Construction and interior fit out.
