JOB SUMMARY

This position reviews high level billing estimates and approves contracted shop billing invoices. Using analytics and artificial intelligence software, identify billing outliers and trends that require investigation. This position will work collaboratively with Maintenance Auditing and Engineering, on findings. Monitor billing exceptions that are flagged and take appropriate action. The incumbent will work with Information Technology, to ensure billing systems meet changing business needs.

This position manages the business process of reporting of railcar repairs and is responsible for ensuring data integrity.

The incumbent manages the billing sections for TTX maintenance and modification documents for billing requirements.

This position works closely with the Manger of Maintenance Scheduling, to determine material planning and frequencies, based on current maintenance Plans and Forecasts.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage the TTX Car Repair Billing Applications to ensure compliance with Association of American Railroads (AAR) standards as well as TTX Billing Standards.

• Follow up on repair bills that are flagged for review and identify locations that are exceeding approved repair amounts and take appropriate action.

• Review and approve contracted shop billing invoice exceptions from billing systems

• Facilitate resolution of day to day contract shop billing questions.

• Utilize existing billing analytics and billing tools, to validate billing and identity billing outliers. The incumbent will work cross functionally with Maintenance Auditing on audit findings.

• Review and analyze billing job codes for TTX maintenance and modification documents.

• Responsible for maintenance/support of TTX Bills of Material and the Material Resource Planning System.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in an analytic discipline (Business, Economics, Data Analytics or Industrial Engineering) required

• Analytical thinker capable of analyzing large amounts of data and drawing conclusions to act upon.

• Knowledge of statistics

• Working knowledge of Association of American Railroads Field and Office Manuals and car repair billing preferred.

• Intermediate Excel skills with advanced skills preferred.

• Ability to manage large amounts of data, perform quick analysis with limited information.

• Candidate must be able to convert data into meaningful actionable information in order to create metrics and assure corrective action is initiated.

• Preferred four years related experience in utilizing analytics to solve business problems

• Problem solving skills a must.

• Proficient in Microsoft suite of products.

• Self - motivated with the ability to work independently, prioritize and organize then follow through on multiple simultaneous projects.

• Candidate must be able to deliver strong, clear concise communications, both oral and written.
