Overview

The Cybersecurity Manager is responsible for the protection of Insmed's Information Technology systems, the detection of threats to those systems and the response to detected threats. This role oversees other Insmed Employees and/or contractor who assist with this operation.

Responsibilities

Additional representative responsibilities will include, but not necessarily be limited to, the following:

Work with AD of Cyber security to manage a team of Cybersecurity engineers composed of Insmed employees and contractors to manage Cybersecurity in the Enterprise

  • Manage Insmed's ecosystem of Cybersecurity partners
  • Negotiate contracts for Cybersecurity programs and tools
  • Respond to Cybersecurity incidents
  • Assist in maintaining updates Insmed's Incident response plan
  • Develop Cybersecurity SOP's and policies
  • Maintain a current knowledge level of Cybersecurity best practices
  • Monitor Insmed's Cybersecurity systems for any Indicators of Compromise
  • Train and mentor junior staff
  • Perform as team technical lead when required
  • Provide backup for Network Engineering when required
  • Maintain current technical knowledge of current vulnerabilities and exploits
  • Conduct yearly red team - blue team exercises and quarterly penetration tests
  • Manage Insmed's Cybersecurity User Training program
  • Evaluate the security of third-party vendors
  • Provide IT support of Insmed's audit team


Qualifications

  • 8 - 10 years of experience
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience
  • Broad knowledge of Cybersecurity practices and principles
  • The ability to take on multiple tasks and manage multiple projects
  • The ability to manage people and good communication skills
  • Familiarity with the following technologies
    • Firewalls
    • Intrusion Protection
    • VPN
    • EDR
    • Anti-Virus
    • Vulnerability scanning
    • Identity and Access Management
    • SIEM
    • Corning Passive Optical Networking


Travel Requirements

Up to 15% travel.
