Basic Job Functions:

The candidate selected for this position will work closely with and support our Maintenance and Production Teams. Primary responsibilities for this role include, but are not limited to: preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repairing, upgrading, installing and commissioning plant equipment. The teammate will assist with projects for process improvements and will provide technical service and support for operations.

Electricians will work with motors, digital and analog electronics, schematics, print reading and control circuits, AC/DC theory and electrical maintenance, computers/PLC and test instruments, power supplies, power distribution and mechanical and hand/power tools as it relates to manufacturing equipment. Teammates will use CMMS to complete work orders, research parts, and to schedule maintenance work.

The successful candidate will have primary responsibility for a specific production area and may be reassigned to a different area in the future based on department needs.

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Electrical degree OR Two (2) year Electrical Certification OR Five (5) years Industrial Electrical experience
• Must be willing to work weekends, holidays, shifts including scheduled and unscheduled overtime as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of AB PanelView+, and ControlLogix.
• Process control design and troubleshooting
• Demonstrated AutoCad experience
• Experience working with vendors and contractors
• Proficiency in AC & DC Motors, Drives
