Job Info


  • Inspects glass forming machines and related equipment.
  • Determines cause of breakdowns, repairing or replacing defective parts or components.
  • Assists in job changes as required.
  • Installs new machines or equipment and adjusts and maintains existing units to ensure operation to specifications.
  • Performs temporary repairs to equipment, causing minimum delay to production when required.
  • Disassembles repairs and adjusts equipment.
  • Lubricates machines.
  • Performs preventive maintenance work.
  • Maintains inventory of machine parts and related equipment in storeroom.
  • Maintains proper operation of hot end coating equipment.
  • Maintains safety and good housekeeping in work areas.
  • Performs other work as required by supervisor.

  • Utilizes computer diagnostic equipment for troubleshooting and adjusting equipment as well as drills, lathes, grinders, presses, welding equipment, hoists, etc.

    A minimum of two years in glass manufacturing (preferably in bottles) is required. Similar experience will be considered.

    Candidates must be able to walk, stand, bend, climb, squat, kneel, reach and twist. Must be able to lift up to 100lbs, and push and pull up to 50lbs. The work environment can reach 135 degrees Fahrenheit.
