Rotating Shift Times: 6:00 am-2:30 pm AND 12:00 pm-8:30 pm

THe EEG Technologist will be rotating between both shift times.

Position Summary:

The LTM EEG Technologist act as a liaison between the cEEG Video Service Director, Continuous EEG Chief Technologist, clinical staff, physicians, Epilepsy Fellows, and EEG Laboratory Chief. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to supervise the quality of the continuous EEG per protocol; assess the skin on patients undergoing prolonged monitoring; perform stimulation to assess reactivity; check for push button events and gather all relevant medications for the cEEG daily reports; pre-read cEEG records and maintain the cEEG database as needed; provide support with troubleshooting and maintenance of the cEEG records.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

High School Diploma or Equivalent required. Completion of AMA approved program in EEG Technology strongly preferred. R. EEG T. certification strongly preferred, CLTM welcome. B.S. degree strongly preferred. Graduation from a Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) accredited Electroneurodiagnostic (END) program or an Associate's degree or higher from an accredited college or university required with a minimum of 50 CEUs in the Neurodiagnostic field.

Work Experience:

A minimum of 2 years in ICU Long Term Monitoring including records acquisition and records review.

License/Certification:

Current Certification by the American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic Technologists (ABRET) and CLTM Certification by ABRET within 2 years of employment.
BLS Certification
