Candidates must be currently attending school within the greater Chicagoland area, to allow for commuting to/from our downtown Chicago offices. This internship would start June 2022 and would be a 1 year commitment.

Position Summary:


An internship with The Federal Home Loan Bank of Chicago is not like your average internship. We can offer you a dynamic, collaborative and team-focused environment you won't find anywhere else. You'll be engaged in projects that will provide you with real world, hands-on experience. We are currently looking for a long-term intern to work in our Events area. The long-term intern will be assisting with planning and executing logistics for conferences, client dinners, and corporate events. In addition, the intern will help manage FHLBank Chicago presence at trade association events in coordination with other departments.

Duties:

  • Responsibility for assistance with end-to-end event planning/coordination for conferences, client dinners, and corporate events.
  • Events includes FHLBank Chicago conferences and regional meetings, trade association events, FHLBC corporate events, product education and other forums, and webinars
  • Position requires occasional travel to support out-of-town client events and conferences
  • Other Members and Markets projects as assigned


Skills/Qualifications:
  • Applicants should be at least Sophomore status at an accredited four year institution
  • Should have a GPA of at least 3.0 and be in good academic standing
  • MS Office (MS PowerPoint, Excel, Word) required; Access strongly preferred
