We operate in Canada as Engineered Lifting Systems and Equipment (ELS)/DBA Gorbel® Canada, and subsequent communication related to Canadian positions may show the ELS name. Job Description:

The shipping coordinator at Gorbel® interacts with all appropriate parties to ensure daily goals of on-time shipping performance are achieved. In addition, works closely with Customer Service, our 3PL, Freight Forwarders, and Brokers, and other parties to ensure shipments arrive error free, in good condition, and on time.

Responsibilities:

• Creates Bills of Lading in ERP system, which includes updating shipping information and referencing carriers.
• Provides necessary guidance and information to our 3PL to ensure proper processing of all shipments.
• Performs required transactions within ERP system to support product all shipments.
• Works with factory Production Supervisors to ensure on time shipments
• Communicates logistics-based problems that may affect the shipping date to Customer Service Representative's.
• Provides freight rates to customers or Customer Service Representative's when requested.
• Resolves shipping discrepancies, files claims and aids customers with claims for OS&D.
• Arranges Transfer trucks between manufacturing sites.
• Responsible for coordinating all modes of shipments for inbound and outbound, international, and domestic.
• Proactively coordinates future shipments, to ensure that Gorbel® and our 3PL have visibility to all shipments.
• Prepares necessary forms (customs) for international shipments.
• Create and file customs documentation.
• Creates and maintains Gorbel Operating Procedures for Logistics.
• Performs other related duties and various special projects as required and assigned

Required Qualifications:

• Attention to detail
• Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word skills)
• Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
• Independent judgment and demonstrated ability to work with minimum supervision
• Prior experience with Transportation and Freight brokers
• Federal customs laws and documentation
• Prior experience with safety
• Load planning experience
• Familiarity with TL, LTL, and Flatbed Carriers

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Gorbel, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.

A reasonable estimate of the current range is:

Logistics Coordinator: Min $18.80 - Max $28.20

Logistics Coordinator, Sr: Min $20.40 - Max $30.60
