The primary functions in this role are to manage and pay all property tax bills for the first mortgage loans. In addition the other primary role is to prepare files for Fannie Mae/other vendor sales and to accurately perform reporting as required. This position requires significant attention to detail and the processes are very time sensitive.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare all tax service contracts on first mortgage loans and remit to tax service company
  • Set up, track and pay all property tax bills for first mortgage loans in loan servicing core system (FICS)
  • Prepare selected files for sale on the secondary market to Fannie Mae as well as process those files for shipping
  • Perform all Fannie Mae monthly reporting
  • Review qualifications, obtain management approval, prepare and deliver all subordination agreements as requested.
  • Process mortgage loan adjustments in CU core system (Episys)
  • Process payments in CU core system (Episys)
  • Answer telephone inquiries from the loan servicing phone queue for account and mortgage loan information
  • Deliver outstanding service that delivers on our Service Promises
  • Meet or exceed the service goals for the position
  • Knowledge of the Credit Union's products and services
  • Complete BAI Learning classes as assigned
  • Excellent verbal, organizational and problem-solving skills needed
  • Maintain department policy and procedure documentation accordingly
  • Adhere to Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) regulations and all related Credit Union policies and procedures


Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent, previous financial service experience preferred
  • Minimum 2 years experience in either Mortgage Lending or Loan Servicing
  • Thorough knowledge and concern for security is required
  • Knowledge of legal documents required for mortgage loans
  • Knowledge of FICS Mortgage Servicer, Symitar, Episys & MortgageBot
