JAS is an international, non-asset-based supply chain services and solutions company. Our services include air and ocean freight forwarding, contract logistics, customs brokerage, distribution, inbound logistics, truckload brokerage and other supply chain management services, including consulting, the coordination of purchase orders and customized management services.

The Learning Management System Administrator is responsible for overseeing the configuration and day-to-day operation and maintenance of our LMS, as well as the data integrity, reporting, maintenance and improvements of the system. Duties include user management, course management, troubleshooting, data analytics and integrations with other resources. This role serves as technical lead for the LMS tool and data elements, providing business units with support, and training power users on course administration and management functions. The LMS Administrator will also ensure new and existing features and functions are leveraged to best meet the business needs, develop best practices and help drive utilization and engagement. Using learning trends, features and technologies, the LMS Administrator will update and enhance the existing LMS to improve the learning experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Manage day-to-day LMS operations such as course creation, ad hoc reports, permissions and enrollment rules
  • Manage user accounts including creation, change, deactivation/deletion, course enrollments, manager visibility and notifications.
  • Oversee system support, internal user support, incident troubleshooting, incident resolution, communication, and escalation procedures as needed.
  • Serve as key point of contact for Docebo LMS vendor including contract, billing, support, maintenance, version releases, development and other needs.
  • Coordinate integration projects as needed under guidance of Project Management Office including Workday, Active Directory, CargoWise One and other enterprise applications and tools
  • Leverage current learning trends, features and technologies related to the future of learning application, measurement.
  • Utilize CSS, HTML, vendor tools and features to customize and enhance functionality within the LMS platform.
  • Provide hands-on support and expertise, independently resolving service delivery, configuration or functionality issues, answer service desk tickets using Helpdesk ticketing application.
  • Manage and publish LMS documentation related to administration, compliance, processes, disaster recovery, and other needs as required by ISO standards.
  • Work with internal business unit representatives on system functionality, recommended solutions and appropriate power user administrator training to ensure requirements are met including reporting, compliance requirements, completion, notifications and certifications/retraining.
  • Provide individual and group instruction, as needed, on the use of LMS platform and features.
  • Assist with preparing and providing necessary project information to support the JAS Worldwide IT strategy.
  • Provide regular updates to the Director of Technology Operations on assigned projects.
  • Work with cross function organization teams to ensure the coordination of resources for technology projects and that all services have needed information regarding the implementation of technology.
  • Maintain LMS system in accordance with security protocol, processes, policies and comply with GDPR and other data security laws.
  • Perform special projects as assigned by the Director of Technology Operations.
  • Adhere to all published organizational, safety policies and procedures as described in the JAS Forwarding employee handbook.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge in LMS Administration, integration, upgrades, and maintenance.
  • Knowledge of systems security protocol, policies and procedures.
  • Proficiency with HTML, CSS and scripting language, automations, and basic LMS design and functionality principles.
  • Technical proficiency using software applications such as Office 365 including Excel, Teams and Sharepoint, Workday HRIS, and CRM systems.
  • Skilled in learning principles, methodologies, LMS configuration and implementation

Education and/or Experience
  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in HR, Education, Business Administration, Computer Science or other applicable field, and/or related work experience.
  • At least three (3) years experience working in the Learning and Development space, particularly within the Docebo LMS platform.
  • Experience in the technology, supply chain, logistics, or freight forwarding industries a plus.

Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization. Functional Spanish and/or Italian is a plus.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtracts, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to calculate area, perimeter and other measurements. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Other Skills

Ability to proactively plan and complete time-sensitive project goals with demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple and varied projects

Excellent verbal and written communication skills including demonstrated ability to interact and communicate with all levels of an organization.

Excellent team participation skills.

Physical Demands

High energy level, comfortable performing multifaceted projects in conjunction with day-to-day activities; sound judgement and the ability to work under time pressures. Physical requirements include sight, hearing, sitting for more than four hours per day and other physical requirements required to perform the essential functions of this position. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; stand; walk; use hands and finger to feel and handle; reach with arms and hands; talk and hear. While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently is required to stoop, kneel, and crouch; lift weight or exert force to move heavy objects. Work Environment

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The JAS Information Technology department is a twenty-four (24) hour per day, seven (7) day per week, three hundred sixty-five (365) per year operation. This position may be required to participate in a schedule that may require evening, overnight, weekend and holiday working hours, and/or on-call response, and emergency response.
