Job Title: Litigation Associate

Billable Hours: 1850 hours annually
Overview: Our client is looking for a Litigation Associate focused on insurance defense. You'll run cases
with partner support, emphasizing self-starting, down-to-earth demeanor, and expertise in law and motion, research,
discovery, and depositions. Grow with them as they offer an excellent professional development and room for growth.
Responsibilities:
- Independently manage cases with partner support, emphasizing self-direction and initiative.
- Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
- Handle discovery, including drafting and responding to requests.
- Conduct depositions and attend hearings.
- Progress to handling mediations and other case aspects as you grow.
- Collaborate with partners, associates, and paralegals in a team-oriented environment.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the Colorado Bar.
- 1-3 years or 4-7 years of experience in litigation, preferably in commercial and/or insurance defense.
- Strong litigation skills, including law and motion practice, legal research, and drafting pleadings and motions.
- Experience with discovery, including drafting and responding to requests.
- Ability to conduct depositions and attend hearings independently or with minimal supervision.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented
- environment.
- Self-starter with the ability to work autonomously and demonstrate initiative in case management.
- Commitment to professional growth and development within the firm.
- Familiarity with Colorado court procedures and litigation practices is a plus.
Compensation:Salary: $80,000 - $120,000 (depending on experience).
Bonuses: Discretionary
