Responsibilities

  • Provide individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, and referral services to M.D. students on both the Philadelphia Reading and campuses.
  • Provide consultation to faculty, staff, and administration regarding student issues and/or concerns.
  • Facilitate psycho-educational groups, support groups, and/or workshops on topics related to emotional health and student wellbeing in the M.D. program.
  • Maintain the ethical standards of your professional association relevant to clinical training (e.g. APA, NASW, etc.).
  • Maintain patient records and appropriate related paperwork.
  • Attend Departmental and Divisional staff meetings as required.
  • Provide contact statistics quarterly to Senior Associate Dean for Student Affairs, M.D. Program and Regional Vice Dean, Tower Health campus.
  • Work collaboratively with other providers in the Office of Student Wellbeing to provide optimal support to students in the M.D program on both the Reading and Philadelphia campuses.
  • Maintain requirements for continued Pennsylvania licensing including continuing education

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree
  • A minimum of five years of experience in counseling preferably with a young adult or college population is required.
