POSITION SUMMARY: Provide direct mental health clinical assessments and treatment to individuals with mental illness. Work with others in a clinical team environment to help individuals move toward recovery. Become SSI/SSDI Outreach, Access, and Recovery (SOAR) certified and provide benefits acquisition and management guidance for individuals.

This individual will provide in-person services at our Patient Financial Services (PFS) location as well as our 2Succeed and Resource Center locations on our Rehabilitation Services team. On the PFS team, the individual will conduct assessments, help with initiating SSI benefits, supervise online shopping, and conduct intakes. On the Rehabilitation side, they will help with assessment and handle escalated situations, and a variety of other duties to support the people we serve.

  • Mental Health Therapist II - $26.04/hr
  • LCSW/LPC/LMFT - $29.72 - $30.22/hr

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Provide psychological evaluations/problem identification, and crisis interventions.
  • Perform organizational intakes and clinical assessments to determine appropriate level of care for individuals within the WellPower system.
  • Provide case management services to clients as needed or assigned.
  • Assist clients with psychological development, social development, and rehabilitation.
  • Coordinate client's use of other Wellpower programs and outside community resources.
  • Coordinate medication/medicinal needs of clients with psychiatrists, nurses, and other medical sources.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical records consistent with WellPower standards.
  • Participate in team/department meetings, in-services, and supervisory sessions as required.
  • Perform 27-10 (M-1) "mental health hold" evaluations.
  • Meet with people individually and/or in a group to assist them with obtain and managing their SSI/SSDI benefits.
  • Maintain a trauma informed environment of wellbeing.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Ability to give, receive and analyze information, formulate work plans, prepare written materials and articulate goals and action plans. Must understand people from all walks of life and be able to communicate effectively with them.
  • Some local travel depending on position.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively within a diverse workplace environment and work effectively with people from all walks of life.

EDUCATION: Master's Degree in social work, psychology, or similar field. Current license as a LCSW/LPC/LMFT in the State of Colorado, or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.

EXPERIENCE: Minimum of two years experience in clinical social work. Experience working with moderate to severe and persistently mentally ill populations.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
  • Knowledge or ability to learn and practice trauma informed principles and practices.
  • Knowledge of methods of psychotherapy.
  • Knowledge of community resources.
  • Ability to assess crisis situations and intervene appropriately.
  • Familiarity with the DSM V and diagnostic techniques.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work flexible and on-call hours which may be required.
  • Must have valid drivers license and good driving record.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist with program supervision of students/volunteers as determined appropriate.

TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Ability to sit, stand, bend and reach, drive, operate standard office equipment such as phone, computer, facsimile, copier/printer, and other business machines. Occasional lifting up to 40 lbs.

MACHINES AND EQUIPMENT TO BE USED: Motor vehicle, standard office equipment. Personal computers/laptops/similar devices, copier/printer/scanner/similar devices, business telephones and a variety of other office/clerical equipment.
