This position will be responsible for supporting the company's vendor matters across a variety of business units and subject areas. The position will involve drafting and negotiating complex agreements ranging from professional services, software as a service, and software licensing agreements; providing quick, concise and commercially focused legal advice in connection with such arrangements. In addition, the attorney will work closely with partners within the PayPal business to build plans and create strategies for managing its procurement needs. The attorney will also work with colleagues within the vendor legal team to create and implement processes and procedures to more efficiently handle high-volume contract needs.
This attorney must be well-versed in technology and licensing, with a critical eye towards privacy, risk and regulatory issues. Because the job will involve a large amount of drafting, editing and writing, exceptional writing skills are an absolute necessity. The ideal candidate will be a confident self-starter with strong organizational skills and demonstrated ability to effectively and proactively provide sound legal advice, exercise good business judgment, work with senior management and implement policies and processes on a cross-functional basis in a fast-paced environment.
