Constant Contact, Inc. is looking for a Legal Assistant to provide support services to a small in-house legal and compliance team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic, fast-paced and collaborative organization and gain experience with a wide range of legal and compliance matters.  This position may be either hybrid or fully remote, with preference given to candidates in the Waltham, MA area.

What you'll do:

  • Support the team in various practice areas including commercial agreements, data privacy, corporate law, governance and intellectual property.
  • Assist with the management and administration of legal systems, including the department's contract management system.
  • Maintain corporate minute books and corporate records and assist with entity management, corporate filings and registrations for the company and its subsidiaries.
  • Assist with the management of the legal budget and invoices, including coordinating with third-party vendors and the internal accounting department.
  • Day-to-day operations and administrative support of the team, including scheduling meetings and conference calls, arranging travel, preparing and submitting expense reports, and receiving and sending mail.
  • Revise, format, proofread, and gather signatures on a variety of legal documents.
  • Organize and maintain department files.
  • Assist with ad hoc customer requests and special projects.

Who you are:
  • Ideal candidates would have a Bachelor's Degree with 3-5 years of experience (or equivalent).
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills are required.
  • Strong work ethic with a desire to take initiative and an ability to work independently.
  • Strong multitasking skills. Ability to organize and prioritize numerous tasks and complete them in a timely manner.
  • Positive and professional demeanor, and eager to learn and grow.
  • Notary public a plus.
  • Computer and tech savvy, proficient in standard office software such as Google suite (Docs, Sheets, etc.), DocuSign, Adobe Acrobat, and comfortable learning to use new systems and applications.
