The Lead Person's primary job function is to oversee staff in regards to safety and quality production within a work cell or department. This position will be directing / coordinating activities within their assigned area of responsibility and will report directly to the area supervisor.
II.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
· Main job function will be observing the workflow and process while making adjustments to staff and materials as needed to continuously improve productivity and efficiencies while maintaining a safe work environment.
· High emphasis on the onboarding and ongoing training, mentoring and development needs of all operators under their area of responsibility.
· Coordinate with Forklift Operators and materials support personnel to ensure components are staged for the day's production and to eliminate downtime.
· Responsible for assigning operators where needed and delegating tasks according to production plans.
· Conduct first piece/article inspection of materials, where required and maintaining required quality on all parts and products produced within their area of responsibility.
· Ongoing communications with their supervisor about any issues that would affect safety, quality, production and efficiencies.
· Prioritize tasks based on production requirements, materials available, and staffing to complete work and maintain efficiency.
· Will perform other job-related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Education:
High School diploma or equivalent preferred
Experience:
6 months of relevant work experience
Skills:
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
Ability to comprehend, follow and give instructions
Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
Ability to work in a fast-paced, often changing environment
Must be able to read or write in English or Spanish.
Must possess basic math skills
