The Role

The Lead Program Manager works in the Enterprise Digital Experience 3rd Party Sales Tools organization and is responsible for driving success against defined business objectives. This includes driving programs, systems capabilities, and ROI, as well as application adoption, license management, configuration, and support.

The Lead Program Manager will drive projects that deliver system enhancements that promote Sales and CS success. Serves as Product Owner for 3rd party sales productivity applications with a key focus on defining and executing system solutions to drive sales growth and customer success strategies.  Must understand the Enterprise sales motion and pain-points and be able to translate business needs into systems capabilities, features, and user stories that drive business value. Conducts and leads systems/application testing.

This position works independently and requires the ability to communicate complex technical issues in general business terms. Must demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively with Sales and Customer Success professionals, as well as other cross-organizational stakeholders at all levels of management.

The Main Responsibilities

  • Independently manages multiple concurrent projects with varying degrees of complexity. This often involves stepping into chaotic or ambiguous situations and driving structure, order, and clarity. 
  • Manages all phases of the project lifecycle from planning to post-implementation support and monitoring. Includes managing stakeholder expectations, scope, schedule, development, user acceptance testing, deployment, issues/risks, and sometimes financials for assigned projects daily to ensure success of business objectives. 
  • Develops and executes change management plans, including the development and delivery of communication and training.
  • Provides subject matter expertise for supported applications and ensures strong user support processes are in place.
  • Coordinates with end-users to understand, document, and refine requirements that enable efficient seller and CS experiences.
  • Partners with business stakeholders and management to prioritize enhancements and fixes. 
  • Ensures system improvements are successfully tested, implemented, and monitored to ensure favorable business outcomes.
  • Oversees and manages application version upgrades.
  • Provides hands-on configuration and access support for applications. Manages licenses.
  • Analyzes usage trends and drives application adoption efforts.
  • Performs forecasting, capacity planning, and performance reporting.
  • Facilitates collaboration and communicates with all levels of program governance, including read-outs to executive audiences. 
  • Manages cross-organizational teams comprised of members from all levels of management and sometimes external resources.
  • Drives problem solving and escalates issues that cannot be resolved at the working level to the appropriate level of governance for resolution. 
  • Develops Salesforce reporting and dashboards for the user communities.

What We Look For in a Candidate

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience in a related field
  • 5 years experience in the technology or telecommunications industries
  • 3 years program, project, or process management experience
  • Experience in managing projects with end-to-end process and business impact
  • Experience with agile software development methodology
  • Application support experience
  • 5 years management experience partnering with multiple organizations

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Altify Account Manager and Opportunity Manager
  • Track record of success building positive working relationships across the enterprise 
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently to organize projects, identify courses of action, and develop solutions to business problems 
  • Experience working in an environment where cross-functional teams are commonplace and achieving success requires collaboration across many departments
  • Ability to lead by example, develop and implement a strategy, and hold associates accountable for performance 
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to break down complex problems into manageable activities
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skill as well as negotiation, coordination, facilitation, and conflict management skills
