CNH industrial, a world leader in the design, development, and manufacturing of broad ranging construction and agricultural equipment, has an opening for a Technical Leader. The successful candidate will lead a cross-functional team technically coordinating the Vehicle Electronic program deliverables in support of Construction Equipment Strategic Business Plan, driving new developments, cost reduction and quality programs. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for the development of algorithms for Driveline and Electro Hydraulic control systems for Construction Equipment machineries in accordance with Platform, Safety and Homologation requirements.

The ideal candidate will have had previous experience in delivering complete electronic (System/SW) control systems and/or components to internal and/or external customers. Complete electronic systems comprise electronic hardware and software solutions including customer specific application software.


  • Work with Product Engineering Team to evaluate Platform, Manufacturing, and Marketing requirements and develop product plans that are consistent with customer and product line objectives.
  • Provide technical leadership to explore and champion cost reduction, quality and product improvement programs.
  • Facilitate and guides activities of the Vehicle Electronic Central team to implement Marketing, Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing, and After-sales strategies to achieve objectives for assigned programs.
  • Identify, research and resolve team performance issues to ensure timely attainment of program objectives, providing technical development actions able to drive the team into a constant growth on mechatronic and system engineering.
  • Lead in a technical capacity the risk assessments and definition of mitigation plans
  • Provide technical support to the program management activity.
  • Collaborate with Product Platforms, Product Validation, Central Areas (Hydraulics, Driveline, Cab, Engine) during all program development phases.
  • Design control strategies and algorithms for complex systems (Electro Hydraulic, Driveline, Vehicle), championing the cross platform commonality and the reusability of SW components.
  • Manage the interaction between complex subsystems and their related calibrations, to ensure System performance and robustness is optimized.
  • Design, develop, debug and unit test Model Base SW and related generated code for embedded controllers while applying best practice and methodologies.
  • Document and demonstrate solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, and diagrams to support problem analysis.
  • Contribute to SW and System validation activity and related problem solving.
  • Be an active member of Design review, DFMEA, Risk assessment and other technical meetings.
  • Encourage new and innovative design concepts, inventions, patents and opportunities for product improvement.

  • BS degree in Engineering or Technology (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic) or related
  • Minimum of 6 years of Engineering, Technology and Program & Project Management experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency in completion of multiple small to large projects from conception to product release.
  • Experience in a strong cross-functional team environment.
  • Ability to travel worldwide as required to meet the demands of assigned programs.
  • Previous experience with complete electronic vehicle systems architecture and software is a plus
  • Excellent knowledge of electronic components and communication protocols (CAN, LIN);
  • Excellent knowledge of SW modelling tools (Matlab, Simulink), 'C' programming language and Automatic Code Generation tools (TargetLink)
  • MS project experience to develop and manage projects through their life cycle.
  • Ability to use MS office suite of software (Word, Power Point, Excel).
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
