Job Responsibilities include the following, but not limited to:
- Responsible for the shipping and receiving of all materials and the proper complete documentation thereof. Leads and oversees Amerijet's stock room activities while on shift.
- Oversees the dispensing of parts and supplies to mechanics and custodial personnel, insuring proper documentation of these transactions, and recording it in computer if required.
- Oversees the processing of all receiving documents by stock clerks/materials specialists.
- Oversees security of the areas, inventory and materials under the control of the department.
- Investigates, determines reason, and corrects discrepancies between inventory and stock control records.
- Accomplishes periodic internal inventories for verification of record accuracy and assists in the annual physical inventory for the audit of the company's financial records.
- Assigns duties to subordinates and examines work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures.
- Reviews and applies work performance of subordinate personnel and praises or disciples as necessary.
- Oversees the routine maintenance requirements of the department's vehicles and off-site warehouse forklifts.
- Oversees the operations involving the tracking, shipping, receiving, repairing, part ordering, vendor negotiating, adequate supplying and storing of all aspects of wheels, tires and brakes used in the operation of the airlines.
- Establishes procedures and enforces compliance for the disposal of all out-of-date consumables and recertification of limited shelf-life components in accordance with Amerijet General Maintenance Manual.
- Communicates, coordinates and maintains relationships in a business-like manner with vendors for which we routinely work with, as well as those we occasionally conduct business.
- Counts, sorts, or weighs incoming articles to verify receipt of items on requisition or purchase order.
- Examines stock to verify conformance to specifications.
- Stores articles in bins, on floor or on shelves, according to identifying information such as style, size or type of material.
- Fills orders or issues supplies from stock.
- Prepares periodic, special or perpetual inventory of stock.
- Accepts completed and approved requisitions for materials not able to provide from existing stores.
- Complies reports on use of stock handling equipment, adjustments of inventory count and stock records, spoilage of or damage to stock, location changes, and refusal of shipment.
- Marks identifying codes, figures or letters on articles.
- Distributes stock among production workers, keeps records of materials issued.
- Makes adjustments or repairs to articles carried in stock.
- Determines methods of storage, identification and stock location, considering temperature, humidity, height and weight limits, turnover, floor loading capacities, and required space.
- Cuts stock to size to fill order.
- Moves or transports material or supplies to other departments and other stations.
- Boxes, wraps and prepares for shipments as needed, all materials being shipped using various methods such as Federal Express, Comat, Counter to Counter, or parts driver, and completes all documentation required to do so, such as waybills, declarations, etc.
- Figures out methods of storage, identification and stock location, considering temperature, humidity, height and weight limits, turnover, floor loading capacities, and required space.
- Prepares for shipments as needed, all materials being shipped using various methods such as Federal Express, Comat, Counter to Counter, or parts driver, and completes all documentation required to do so, such as waybills, declarations, etc.
- Acts as the substitute Parts Driver when necessary.
- Assumes the essential duties and responsibilities of the Manager Stockroom, as and when required.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Performance Standards/Measurements:
- Accurately counts, sorts, or weighs incoming articles to verify receipt of items on requisition or purchase order. Disburses stock among production workers, keeps records of materials issued. Processes orders or issues supplies from stock. Receives completed and approved requisitions for materials not able to provide from existing stores. Secures articles in bins, on floor or on shelves, according to identifying information such as style, size or type of material.
- Produces reports on use of stock handling equipment, adjustments of inventory count and stock records, spoilage of or damage to stock, location changes, and refusal of shipment.
- Must attain established work standards of quantity and quality on a consistent basis by process or function.
- Consistently follows Company policies and procedures (including governmental and safety) and departmental Standard Operating Procedures.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- Min. 2 years of material services experience in a warehouse environment.
- Administration skills are mandatory. Must have attention to detail.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; ability to write simple correspondence.
- Identification of HAZMAT Materials and knowledge of proper handling (Preferably).
- Must be able to handle delicate components, and ensure materials received are free of damage, or missing parts.
- Ability to read, speak and understand English.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small groups' situations to customers, client and other employees of the organization.
- Ability to deal with problems, and can decide when a problem needs to be escalated.
- Ability to take ownership and follow company processes.
- Be able to operate forklifts and other lifting devices.
- Possess and maintain a valid Driver License and a driving record from the state of your primary residence that meets Amerijet's insurance standards.
- Willingness to work 8-hr shift covering 24/7.
- Pass a ten (10) years criminal record background check for SIDA badge.
- Legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located.
Supervisory Responsibilities:This position will not have direct reports but will require overseeing shift activities and providing training for new team members.
Language Skills:The employee must possess good interpersonal and communications skills, be able to effectively present information, respond to questions from managers and co-workers.
Physical Activities and Requirements of the Position:The employee is regularly required to stand, frequently required walk, use hand to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb and balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk and hear.
Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
Required to work in confined spaces.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms; move about the facility. Must be able to work well under pressure. This position may require limited traveling.
