Job Description

The Lead I, W+D role is the SME in their functional area , responsible for performing the day-to-day duties, acting as the primary point person on the floor for the team, overseeing and guiding workflow. The Lead I is the first point of contact for problem solving and troubleshooting, providing support and training to team members to help achieve department goals and site KPIs. The incumbent temporarily leads the department in the absence of a Supervisor/Manager, providing him/her with timely business updates, including challenges and successes amongst the team.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • SME in functional area
  • May temporarily lead functional area in the absence of a Supervisor/Manager
  • Follows safety rules, SOPs and cGMP guidelines
  • Runs performance reports throughout the shift to determine if goals are on track and make necessary adjustments to labor/ processes as needed.
  • Qualified as a on the job trainer under the training system for functional area
  • Performs qualifications under the training system.
  • Communicates with internal and external customers on a regular basis
  • Leads departmental DDS meetings following the HPS guidelines.
  • Operates required MHE equipment necessary within department
  • Works with day-to-day activities to support process improvements
Job Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 0-2 years Warehouse and Distribution experience
  • 0-2 years Lead Level experience
  • Trained on MHE (Rider walkie, forklift, ect.) desired
  • Math skills; add/subtract/multiply/divide as well as counting
  • Intermediate computer skills: AS400 as well as Microsoft Office (Excel/Word/PowerPoint)
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and multi task
  • Ability to influence without authority
  • Exhibit positive attitude regarding work and responsibilities
  • Ability to work collaboratively within teams
  • Ability to maintain effectiveness during major changes in work tasks or the work environment; adjusting effectively within new work structures, processes, requirements or cultures
  • Continuously look for ways to do things faster and better, while maintaining high quality standards
  • Is creative and intellectually curious; tries different and novel ways to solve obstacles
