The Johns Hopkins Hospital is looking for a Lead Clinical Nurse to support the the Adult Medicine Clinic and Diabetes Center. The Diabetes Center collaborates with adult patients and their families to improve self-management of complex and/or uncontrolled diabetes related conditions. The center manages up to 50 patient visits per day. The Adult Medicine Clinic provides primary and specialty care that includes ambulatory practices such as General Internal Medicine, Endocrine, Gastroenterology, Hematology, Pulmonary, Nephrology, Nutrition, Rheumatology, and Interventional Radiology.
The Lead Clinical Nurse provides guidance and direction to staff and acts in the absence of the Assistant Nurse Manager/Nurse Manager to oversee a clinical team during care delivery and unit operations.
Shifts: Day Shift
BSN/MSN from an accredited nursing program required.
- Active Maryland or Compact RN license is required
- BLS CPR certification required: AHA, Red Cross, or Military Training Network accepted
3 years of acute care RN work experience required
- Ability to lead others, assist in development & implementation of procedures for the unit, use principles of conflict resolution, recommend resource utilization, and implement performance management of staff.
- RN work experience in the ambulatory specialty is preferred.
