Description

Humana is seeking for a Lead Application Architect that designs and develops IT applications architecture solutions to business problems in alignment with the enterprise architecture direction and standards. The Lead Application Architect works on problems of diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial.
The resource will specifically be focused on Wellness domain that support solutions using the latest software stacks and cloud technologies. These solutions will provide to business and external users easy access to real-time Wellness data for reporting, analytics and make important wellness recommendations/decisions to the program participants.

Responsibilities

  • The Lead Application Architect performs technical planning, architecture development and modification of specifications for on-prem EDW (Enterprise Data Warehouse) environments.
  • Works closely with IT and business teams to create specifications for new IT projects and architecture that influence departments strategy.
  • Drives EDW modernization toward cloud computing environments and technologies (i.e. Azure, GCP).
  • Assesses the compatibility and integration of products/services proposed as standards in order to ensure an integrated architecture across interdependent technologies.
  • Advices executives to develop functional strategies (often segment specific) on matters of significance.
  • Exercises independent judgment and decision making on complex issues regarding job duties and related tasks, and works under minimal supervision.
  • Uses independent judgment requiring analysis of variable factors and determining the best course of action.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 5 years or more experience as a senior developer in large IT projects
  • Oracle PL/SQL experience
  • ETL experience will be added advantage
  • Directly applicable IT experience
  • Hands on experience of Oracle database.
  • Experience and knowledge of reporting technologies like SSRS, PowerBI, Qlikview
  • Knowledge and experience of software development lifecycle
  • Strong leadership and communication skills and ability to get results
  • Ability to partner and win the confidence of our business partners
  • Experience or knowledge of the Agile methodology
  • Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Preferred Qualifications
  • Azure or Google Certified Professional
  • Azure Data Lake, Azure Databases and Google storage systems
  • Streamsets experience
  • Prior experience in the health solutions industry
  • Experience with complex technical environments
  • Experience working in partnership with multiple vendors
