The Lab Technician I is a part time, weekend position andwill be responsible for preparing samples for analysis in our chemistry department. One (1) year of laboratory experience is needed and you are willing tomake an impact from day one.

NOTE:This is a weekend shift, with a schedule of Saturday & Sunday with possible hours on Friday & Monday. This position is ideal for someone who needs an alternative schedule from a standard Mon-Fri shift. Please do not apply if you cannot work over the weekend.

A DAY IN THE LIFE

As a key member of the labteam, this role will be responsible for a full range of activities including:

  • Preparation of tobacco, cigar(ette), eliquid, or aerosol samples for analysis
  • Preparation of reagents for lab use and/or shipment
  • Calibrate, maintain and repair e-vapor instrument
  • Cleaning of laboratory glassware
  • Maintaining clean laboratory areas
  • Maintaining organized records of sample preparation and analysis
  • Assisting the Group Leaders and analysts in acquiring and inventorying consumables, chemicals, and parts for instrumentation
  • Comply with Enthalpy's Quality Assurance Program and other policies
  • Comply with Enthalpy's Health and Safety Plan
  • Other duties as assigned by the Group Leader or Technical Director
  • Comfortable working with chemicals and glassware
  • Ability to remain flexible and handle changing priorities
  • Position requires attention to detail, ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and a desire to worth both as part of a team and independently
Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, individuals must be able to perform each duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.   • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science, or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year laboratory experience
PREFERRED SKILLS
  • Knowledge of analytical method, analytical instruments, general lab practices and lab safety
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • Good organizational skills and strong communication skills
  • Mechanical capabilities
