As a Lab Technician, You will carry out various procedures pertaining to the analysis of precious metal, base metal and environmental samples. Will prepare required assay reports and maintain various quality control charts. Will maintain work area clean and in a safe working condition.
You will:
- Perform routine analysis of gold, silver and alloy samples
- Prepare acid solutions required for analytical work
- Maintain, calibrate and operate various analytical equipment
- Maintain lab records and fill-out assay reports
- Use personal protective equipment when required
- Maintain lab area clean and orderly
- Report all hazard and quality issues to supervisor
*High school diploma*AAS in a science filed or post-secondary science and Algebra courses are a plus.*Previous lab experience in an analytical or metals lab is a plus.
