Java Teaching Assistant *Job Title*: Java Teaching Assistant
*Job Location*: REMOTE
*Salary*: $70k-90K DOE (benefits, retirement plan, PTO, etc.)
*Requirements*:
1.) Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
2.) 1+ years recent professional experience in software development using Java and/or AWS.
3.) 1+ years experience working with diverse students in a classroom setting (ex. tutoring, TA, etc.).

We are a university-affiliated coding academy offering online and on-campus training for Software Engineers and UX Designers! Due to recent growth, we are seeking a couple of talented Java Teaching Assistants to support our teaching team. This position requires 1+ years' recent professional experience in software development using Java and/or AWS and 1+ years of working with students in a classroom setting.
What You Will Be Doing - Serving as a subject matter expert (SME) for software engineering (Java, AWS tech stack).
- Working directly with learners in the classroom and helping instructors to teach engineering concepts.
- Assisting with copy-editing and refactoring of activities/content.
- Engaging with learners from diverse backgrounds.
