RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce is looking for an IT Project Manager for their large client in the Kansas City area. Summary:This role is responsible for the completion of project deliverables, within budget while adhering to the IT standards & exceeding customer expectations. Using project management processes & methodologies, this person will lead project teams in the implementation efforts for projects/programs lead by the PMO team, ensuring effectiveness & accuracy. Responsibilities:

• Tracks key project milestones while adjusting project plans & indicating resources
• Communication of project status to stakeholders on a regular basis
• Project Management documentation (project scope, project plans/schedules, project logs, status reports, issues management, etc.)
• Project implementation documentation through the PMO methodology (designs, development, testing plans, change orders, etc.)
• Directs & monitors project daily, identifies resource needs, performs quality reviews & escalates the functional, quality & timeline issues throughout the process
• Issue resolution
• Management of contractual commitments, scope of work, budgets & timelines of multiple projects simultaneously

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's Degree in computer science, information technology or another related field
• Certifications (Nice to have, but not required): Project Management; Agile
• 6 years of IT experience in multiple areas including 2 years managing projects in multiple technologies & functions; Or 8 years IT experience, including 4 years managing project in multiple technologies & functions
• Knowledge of project management methodologies & tools as well as resource management practices & change management techniques
• Standard concepts, practices & procedures related to business functions/units
• Technology applications used in business functions/units
• Understands the complexity & interrelatedness of business functions & company applications
• Communicates effectively with all level of employees
• Leads large project teams effectively, promoting team work
• Takes the initiative to search & identify alternative solutions for technical & business problems
• Uses planning skills for large & complex projects
• Quickly able to adapt to multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong verbal & nonverbal communication skills
• Establishment & maintenance of consulting relationships
• Exercises sound judgment when making decisions
