General Description:

We are seeking an experienced IT Operations Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate has experience managing IT employees, bridging communication with other departments, generating IT requirements, developing systems, and implementing solutions that are aligned with our company's objectives. A successful applicant will demonstrate the ability to ensure smooth, secure, and consistently updated technical operations within our rapidly growing organization.

As the IT Operations Manager, you are responsible for growing and managing the entire Information Technology department and ensuring that Gibbs & Cox technology systems meet the needs of the company. You will also work closely with senior leadership to develop technology policies with a focus on process. Documentation is a key aspect of this role as we continue to technologically grow as a company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing all IT operations including staff and infrastructure in several geographically distributed offices.
  • Creating a clear and progressive company IT roadmap to address all current and future needs.
  • Developing, implementing, and evaluating IT projects in line with organizational objectives.
  • Liaising with other departments, determining and addressing their IT needs and requirements.
  • Managing and mentoring employees in the IT department.
  • Assisting with software requirements, sourcing, evaluation, and implementation.
  • Managing vulnerabilities, the need for upgrades, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Proposing strategic solutions and recommending new procedures, systems, and software.
  • Preparing company-wide IT financial budgets and performance reports.
  • Ensuring reported issues are resolved in a timely manner.

Minimum Skills Requirements:
  • 10+ years' experience as an IT Professional, with
  • 5+ years' experience as a manager of an Enterprise IT Operations department
  • 5+ years' experience as an individual contributor / team lead for an Enterprise IT

Operations functions:
  • Demonstrated experience leading/managing a multi-disciplinary team
  • Demonstrated experience with On-prem and Cloud solutions (Azure preferred).
  • Demonstrated experience with network engineering and management
  • Demonstrated experience with systems administration and management.
  • In-depth knowledge is US Government & DoD regulations, IT Process QA, IT Issues and Problem Management
  • Demonstrated experience with policy, process, procedure development
  • Working knowledge of IT Compliance requirements, such as ITAR and other security regulations in regards to data transfer, data backup, building access, and technology implementation.
  • Demonstrated Project Management Experience
  • Familiarity with DevOps and DevSecOps

Education:

Bachelor's degree in an IT-related field. Master's degree preferred.

Minimum of 10 years in IT operations and at least 5 years in a manager role within IT environment.

Certifications:
Microsoft or CISCO certifications are preferred.
ITIL/ITSM certifications are preferred.

Technical Qualifications:
  • Sound working knowledge of IT operations, systems, and developments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Sense of urgency, with the ability to work well under pressure.
  • Experience in a start-up and/or hyper-growth company.
  • Creating a clear and progressive company IT roadmap to address all current and future needs.
  • Developing, implementing, and evaluating IT projects in line with organizational objectives.
  • Liaising with other departments, determining and addressing their IT needs and requirements.
  • Managing and mentoring employees in the IT department.

Security Requirements:
MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN

Clearable to the DoD SECRET level, Active clearance preferred
