The Inventory Project Analyst II is a proactive member of an interdisciplinary team of licensed and unlicensed care givers who ensure that patients, families and significant others receive individualized high quality, safe patient care. It is expected that all RN Clinical Nurses - are licensed, knowledgeable and uphold the practice of nursing as outlined by the Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act and implements the Scope of Practice and Code of Ethics Standards put forth by the American Nurses Association.

Job Details Facility: 1800 Parkway CenterJob Summary:Functions under the direction of the Performance Excellence Manager. The Inventory Project Consultant 2 is responsible for individual project tactical oversight, planning, execution, and training of the Wellstar Supply Chain Kanban system in various healthcare settings. The Inventory Project Consultant 2 will optimize Supply Chain Kanban services to minimize cost and support a value driven Supply Chain system as they align with strategies and overall project plans and performance set by senior leadership.
This position leads/ or assists in leading the timely, precise, and effective installation of the Wellstar Kanban system, as well as post implementation performance management and training at assigned project sites.
Impact of this role in the organization: To facilitate and manage the implementation and maintenance of performance standards for Kanban supply management in order to achieve a best in class supply chain program
Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions:- Project Management: a. Creates and executes project work plans and revisions as appropriate to meet the needs and requirements of the project within the boundaries set by leadership. b. Identifies resources needed to complete the projects to the needs of the site. c. Trains clinical and non-clinical staff in the operation and maintenance of the Kanban system d. Manages day to day operational aspects and scope of the project assigned. e. Manages and adheres to Wellstar's Kanban program standards. f. Facilitates cross-functional team meetings to communicate and discuss project details and updates. g. Effectively communicates status and other relevant information to executive leadership h. Resolves project related issues quickly and efficiently. i. Suggests areas for improvement in processes as well as potential solutions. j. Provides excellent customer service, training, and performance management post implementation to ensure Wellstar standards and performance metrics are maintained. 55%
- Post Implementation Management a. Reviews assigned site performance metrics and provides training and guidance to maintain Wellstar Kanban program metrics and standards b. Creates and schedules Gemba walks to observe operational standards and opportunities for improvement c. Makes needed updates or changes to the Kanban system based on direction from leadership and the needs of the assigned clinical site d. Communicates needs for improvement, suggests solutions, and any concerns to leadership team. 20%
- Customer Service a. Effectively communicates with customer. b. Friendly and courteous. c. Meets or exceeds customer's expectations. d. Serves as a liaison between customer and supply chain 15%
- Safety and Quality a. Ensures builds are complete and Wellstar standards are maintained b. Proper handling of sharps and expired product disposal per Joint Commission regulations. c. Ensures supply areas adhere to Joint Commission regulations. d. Ensures supply areas are designed, maintained, and clearly labeled for safety e. Ensures performance metrics and standards are maintained post implementation 10%
Required Minimum Education:Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or comparable degree Required and
Master's Degree Preferred
Required Minimum License(s) and Certification(s):All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated.
Additional License(s) and Certification(s):Lean Six Sigma Green Belt within 180 Days Required or
Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Preferred
Required Minimum Experience:Minimum 2 years of experience in continuous performance improvement including 5S and Kanban methodologies Required and
Healthcare experience Preferred and
Previous experience in leading initiatives that drive organizational change. Required and
Previous experience managing complex multi-site improvement projects. Required and
Ability to deliver executive presentations, including data analytics. Required and
Minimum 5 years experience in a healthcare setting highly Preferred and
Project Management experience in healthcare Preferred
Required Minimum Skills:Highly detail oriented.
Ability to communicate and understand verbal and written English.
Knowledge of medical supply terminology preferred. Possess technical skills to operate PC and hand-held devices.
Possess skills to interact with clinicians, leadership and other hospital or clinical off-site location personnel.
Ability to travel within the Wellstar system around the Metro Atlanta area.
Ability to formulate plans and execute as needed with relation to strategic initiatives.
