The School of Science at Buena Vista University seeks applicants for an Instructor of Developmental Mathematics position focusing on developmental mathematics, with duties to begin in August 2024.? We seek an energetic individual who will provide institutional leadership in designing and delivering an effective and innovative program for college students who arrive with academic deficiencies in the area of mathematics.? The successful candidate will teach 24 credits (6-8 course sections) per year in the areas of pre-algebra, algebra, and potentially a foundational mathematics course for the general education program. This is a 10-month faculty appointment, with summers off. A master's degree or 18 graduate credits earned in a relevant field is required.? Experience teaching pre-algebra or algebra preferred. This position is not eligible for an employer-sponsored visa and all applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
