The Department of Applied Engineering at Jacksonville State University invites applications for a non-tenure-track position at the rank of Instructor who will contribute to our growing Applied Manufacturing Engineering program. The position's focus is on high quality teaching. The candidate must demonstrate a commitment to undergraduate education, display strong communication skills, and be able to work well with students, faculty, and staff.
The primary teaching responsibility will be to develop and teach courses in the following areas:
The successful candidate will provide instruction using multiple teaching formats to include: classroom instruction, online instruction, and laboratory instruction. Other responsibilities include program assessment, developing industry partnerships, professional development, and university/department service. Based on university and programmatic needs, summer appointments are available for additional compensation and may include teaching, scholarly activity, and/or service activity.
This nine-month, non-tenure track position has an anticipated start date of August 1, 2024.
