SUMMARY

The IT Intern will have the opportunity to gain practical experience and contribute to various aspects of information technology. Your role will involve supporting projects, learning from experienced professionals, and assisting with day-to-day tasks.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

* Collaborating with the IT infrastructure team and business partners across the company to create applications that will help to organize and classify data based on various categories such as cold storage, warm storage, hot storage, controlled data, and commercial data. This data classification system will move data from high-cost environments such as compute and government clouds to more affordable environments such as Azure BLOB and commercial cloud. Additionally, the data classification and organization will enable us to comply with regulations through process changes.
* Adhering to and promoting Carlisle Interconnect Technologies' values while performing duties that support and contribute to the company's success.
* Handling multiple tasks with shifting priorities and meeting deadlines.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

* Enrolled as a rising junior, senior preferred, undergraduate student.
* Relevant degrees include Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
* 3.0 GPA or above.

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
* Conversational in any other language preferred.

JOB SKILLS

* Strong interest in pursuing a career in IT within a manufacturing environment.
* Basic understanding of computer hardware, software, and networking concepts.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
* Basic understanding of project management tools.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
* Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
* Eagerness to learn and willingness to take on new challenges.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The employee must sit or be stationary for lengthy periods while operating a computer as part of their job duties. They frequently use their hands to type, handle objects, and communicate verbally. Additionally, they may need to stand, walk, reach, and occasionally lift objects weighing up to twenty (20) pounds. This role requires specific vision abilities, including close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. According to ADA regulations, reasonable accommodation will be provided to ensure that individuals with disabilities can perform the job's essential functions.

PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS

* ASTM F-2412-2005, ANSI Z41-1999, or ANSI Z41-1991 rated safety toe shoes in specific areas.
* Clear ANSI Z87.1 safety-rated glasses in specific areas.
* Hearing protection in specific locations.
* Ability to compile with JSA in specific areas.
