General Summary/Overview

Every other Friday and Saturday; 11pm-7am; 16 hours per week

Under the direction and supervision of the Supervisor of Guest Services, the Information Coordinator provides general information, monitors alarms and implements emergency procedures. The Information Coordinator processes all incoming calls for staff, physicians, patient information and general Massachusetts Eye and Ear information. Registers and admits patients in the hospital information system. Coordinate the receipts and distribution of packages, specimens, telegrams, flowers, medical records and information. Greets and directs visitors and patients. Also, works with others in the department and Hospital to ensure an efficient and effective patient experience.

Qualifications
Requires a professional, service-oriented individual with strong organization skills and good judgment. An independent thinker with the ability to work under limited supervision.
