ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

* Responsible for Overall Equipment Availability on a variety of facility and production equipment as a member of the Facility and Maintenance department. Will work with but not limited to - rotating, forming and cutting equipment, continuous process equipment, batch process equipment, pumps and piping, design and fabrication, facility maintenance in response to planned and emergency service calls.
* Will be directly involved is continuous improvement activities of processes in all departments to improve performance and meet company goals
* Will troubleshoot to best correct immediate situation and develop long term solutions to prevent reoccurrence.

* Able to successfully document using CMMS and manage queue of assigned work with minimal outside influence.
* Necessary to communicate with and support internal customers (Operator, Supervisor, Equipment Owner, others) in a clear, timely and complete manner.
* Maintaining on-time PM success is fundamental to the success of Operations and is a priority of the Maintenance department.
* Will act and work as a professional to provide world class service to all internal customers to build trusted partnerships.

* Must work safely at all times and follow company, corporate, and regulatory safety practices.
* Physical Demands: Lifting of 60#, stretching, carrying, good hand and eye coordination, ladder work, work at heights generally below 25' in elevation. P.I.T. operation including articulated lift. Ability to work alone and/or on team(s). Ability to work around but not limited to - chemicals, electricity, moving equipment, clean room, heat, cold, poor ambient lighting - as needed to perform Facility and Maintenance mechanical work to maintain a high level of company safety and Overall Equipment Availability.
* Overtime may be required as part of job function as business needs dictate.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

* Work is performed in office, light manufacturing, plating and machine shop environments. Personnel in Maintenance are subject to weather, roof work, ladder work, powered lift work, noise, heat, cold, limited light and confined areas. Must be capable of carrying equipment, material and tools to and from the workspaces. Must have vision capable to work with small parts and equipment. Must be capable of distinguishing colors correctly. Must be capable of hearing alarms, motors running, pumps starting to provide aid in equipment troubleshooting.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job function satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

* Perform a variety of work in industrial maintenance and facility repair function. The Lead person differs from all other Maintenance Technician positions in the level of responsibility. The Lead person is a working leader and shall work with the Maintenance Supervisor to provide department direction, establish priorities, lead or coordinate work projects, monitor the work of other personnel, including outside contractors and vendors. The Lead person shall be prepared to function as a backup for the Maintenance Supervisor when requested.
* 10 Years recent experience in Maintenance Role as Millwright, Industrial Electrical/Mechanical Technician, or like position.
* Knowledge of production process equipment so as to be able to function as a subject matter expert in machine assembly and mechanical troubleshooting.
* Working knowledge of PLC and control systems to work as part of a troubleshooting group when requested.
* Self-Directed, able to function as part of a team or independently in a fast paced department.
* Must have good interpersonal skills and good working relationship with peers and management.
* Leader in safety as pertains to equipment, including but not limited to LOTO, NFPA-70E, Powered Industrial Trucks, Ladders, Confined Spaces, Chemical and Mechanical Equipment Guarding and Hazards, Compressed Gasses.
* CMMS experience and ability to track job and project hours and costs and assist in development of PM routines.
* Predictive Maintenance exposure and interest - to include IR scanning, ultrasonic monitoring, lubrication testing and other techniques.
* Exposure to Vibration Analysis as a troubleshooting tool.
* Ability to understand and use piping and instrument diagrams.

* Ability to understand and use electrical drawings and instrument diagrams.
* Mechanical Fabrication skills, Machine Shop Skills.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

Trade Certification and or Associate's Degree or Bachelor's degree in Technology

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.

JOB SKILLS

* Receive maintenance requests in CMMS and convert to Work Orders. Direct Maintenance Technicians to best support production short and long term goals. Understand production flow and processes and provide guidance to shop.
* Troubleshoot, maintain and repair CNC Equipment, Plating Lines, Tube Drawing Lines, Temperature Test Chambers, Soldering Equipment, Extrusion Equipment, Braiding Equipment, Tape Wrapping Equipment, Building Facility Equipment, Process Wastewater Equipment, Bearings, Pumps, Valves, Boiler, Evaporator and other equipment.
* Suggest, implement, perform and document small scope projects as requested.
* Install, startup, validate, program, troubleshoot new equipment.
* Schedule and conduct preventive and predictive maintenance evaluations and work orders around company production schedule.
* Make improvements as is required to PM's and document activities using CMMS.
* Forecast maintenance inventory items and order spare parts to maintain overall equipment availability.
* Maintain plant manuals, technical references, schematics, and machine control programs following Engineering Guidelines.
* Use higher level productivity tools to include Root Cause Analysis, 5-S, TPM and Project Management in your daily job function.
