If you have passion for networks and want to work with network operators, industry partners, and internal teams to drive innovative, cost efficient solutions that accelerate the scaled deployment of a faster internet - then this is a great role for you.As an Indoor Wi-Fi Solutions Engineer, you will engage with Meta Connectivity engineering and product teammates as well as TIP OpenWiFi community members to design, develop, trial and deploy Wi-Fi solutions. In parallel, you will interface with industry leading partners including hardware/software vendors and system solution providers. Finally, you will work closely with network operators technical teams to understand how Meta and its partner's contributions can be of most impact for indoor connectivity.

<ul><li>Develop use cases & requirements, architect, design, develop, and test solutions working closely with network operators, SaaS cloud providers, ODM hardware providers, application vendors (ISVs), system integrators (SIs), as well as internal engineering, product, and cross-functional teams.</li><li>Support the Community Development of Open Indoor Systems that enable network operators to quickly adopt innovative, lowest total cost of ownership approaches for indoor connectivity.</li><li>Work closely with and support network operators and infrastructure providers to plan and execute deployment projects from lab/field/market trials to scale deployments.</li><li>Strong communication, interpersonal, and collaboration experience with both external partners (technical & non-technical) and internal cross-functional teams.</li><li>Willingness to work within partner - vendor facilities, able to travel up to 10% time, and/or cross-time zone calls.</li></ul>

<ul><li>Experience working across technical domains and organizations to identify, describe and define end-to-end solutions and approaches</li><li>Experience with network centric software architecture, data model, and API design & implementation</li><li>Experience with Linux Foundation (LF) Networking/network operating systems</li><li>Experience in one or more scripting languages such as Python, Bash, etc., and debugging scripting issues</li><li>Experience with micro-services architectures for network management and automation systems</li><li>Knowledge of core network, Access Network design and Edge Computing/Function Virtualization</li><li>Experience with operator back office OSS systems including Inventory, Assurance and Service Activation</li><li>Experience with release engineering, CI/CD tools, DevOps tools (Ansible, Jenkins, Docker, etc.), and automated testing of network software</li><li>Firm understanding of mobile and in-building wireless network infrastructure and architectures</li><li>Familiarity with the evolution and recent development of cellular and Wi-Fi wireless networking</li><li>Experience with Wi-Fi back office systems including captive portals, network assist, authentication and redirection</li><li>Experience understanding and describing network management and automation solutions for multiple deployment and operations scenarios including in-building/outdoor uses cases, fixed/mobile access, enterprise/public access</li><li>Communication skills including experience talking to both technical and business audiences. Knowledge to collaborate with both external partners and internal cross-functional teams</li><li>Understanding of business-related aspects of a solution, and proven to interact with business teams on technical & economic aspects of a solution</li><li>Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Degree must be completed prior to joining Meta.</li></ul>
