Position Summary

This position will be responsible for performing immunological and biochemical tests on products and components according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Outlines of Production, GLPs and cGMPs.

The position will be responsible for verification and validation of data entered in the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)

The position will be responsible for individually assigned tests, including verification of compliance with regulatory filings.

The position will be responsible for assisting with assay development programs and the transfer of assays for new products into the Immunology laboratory.

The position will be accountable for performing assigned duties in a safe manner.

Position Responsibilities

Schedule and conduct immunological and biochemical tests on products and components in accordance with SOPs, Outlines of Production, GLPs and cGMPs, including verification and validation of data entered in the LIMS.

Accept primary responsibility for conducting, documenting, and defending individually assigned tests.

Maintain the highest possible degree of scientific acumen and personal integrity in completing assigned testing.

Monitor, service, and work to improve the reproducibility and accuracy of assigned assay systems.

Coordinate regularly with other departmental and occasionally with other scientific personnel in completing assigned tasks.

Education and Experience

Analyst

B.S. in Biological Science or equivalent education/experience in scientific discipline

3-6 years' experience in vivo/in vitro laboratory experience

Technical Skills and Competencies Required

Ability to work safely with biologicals as required.

Excellent organizational, oral, and written communication skills, including knowledge of PC database software.

Experience performing immunoassays.

Statistical skills preferred.

Physical Position Requirements

Physical demands include manual dexterity using hands and fingers, vision abilities for close vision work.
