Job Description

A Hydro Technician is responsible for:

• Inspect all vessel components and report any defective items
• Maintain all gauges, calibrations and other related equipment used for hydro testing
• Operate large-scale equipment (forklifts, shuttle lift, bridge cranes, etc)
• Install, operate, observe and read the pressure of gauges and charts
• Read and comprehend various vessel blueprints
• Become certified for DOT inspections
• Able to forecast and communicate parts needed for work coming down the line
• Perform Magnetic Particle Inspections
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Must be able to read and understand vessel blueprints
• Ability and aptitude to become Level II Magnetic Particle certified
• Must be knowledgeable of and able to operate a variety of hand, air, and power tools
• Must be willing and able to work inside a variety of vessels daily
• Ability to multi-task on several vessels at the same time
