Overview
Regional Vice President of OperationsSummary:

The Regional Vice President of Operations works directly with the Senior Vice President of Operations and the overall Management team to plan, organize, direct, coordinate, and control service activities to achieve outstanding customer service and brand recognition. This role maintains historically strong revenue growth and promotes employee engagement in a rapidly changing and highly competitive business environment. The Regional Vice President of Operations is responsible for maintaining and growing a winning service operations team.

Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing daily operations and performance for assigned region
  • Analyze costs and forecast data to ensure alignment with company goals and objectives
  • Create and drive initiatives
  • Manage gross margins and budget guidelines
  • Monitor staff performance to ensure that daily revenue goals and other key business indicators are met
  • Exhibit a safety-first approach during all work activities
  • Provide accurate and timely business reports and necessary debriefing
  • Work closely with Operations Managers to achieve revenue goals
  • Perform regular analyses of business operations and enhance current business practices with the support of management, as needed
  • Coach, motivate and train your management team to exceed team goals
  • Communicate and align with other departments and functions
  • Mentor and develop the management team and their direct reports as needed to ensure appropriate KPI performance
  • Innovate, manage, and streamline exceptional processes throughout the operations team
  • Prepare, deliver, and present reports at key executive meetings
  • Ensure that spending and budgeting are in line with business objectives and relevant legislation
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure company growth and stability
  • Communicate clearly, show recognition, and build rapport with employees
  • Establish customer satisfaction metrics, evaluate performance, and coach staff to success
  • Ensure sufficient staff levels to meet ongoing customer demand, manage seasonal spikes, and achieve growth goals
  • All other related duties, as assigned
Qualifications
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Excellent analytical skills and financial acumen
  • Strong interpersonal/communication skills, both oral and written
  • Proficiency in negotiations, operational management, and implementation
  • Ability to self-start and motivate a group of individuals to act as a team toward a common goal
  • Ability to build a team culture by recruiting, motivating, and training staff
  • Detail-oriented, time management skills, goal-driven, ability to multi-task, prioritize and plan
  • Possess good presentation skills and has the ability to convey confident and decisive messages in a fast-paced and goal-driven environment
  • Advanced Microsoft Office and computer literacy
Education and Experience:
  • At least five (5) years of related HVAC Industry or other service business experience required
  • At least five (5) years of experience successfully leading a fast-paced regional service organization and a proven track record of growing a business
  • Must have multi-unit leadership experience
  • Consistent record of meeting and exceeding revenue objectives
  • Must hold or be able to obtain a HVAC master license
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • Strong organization skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize, and meet deadlines
  • Excellent leadership and supervisory skills with emphasis on team building and effective communication
  • Valid Driver's License with a good driving record
Physical requirements:
  • Able to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a copy machine, telephone and computer printer.
  • Able to work in office environment

  • Able to alternate between sitting and standing, as needed throughout the day
  • Occasionally able to lift up to 50 lbs

  • Rarely requires climbing
  • Must be willing to travel as needed
